Every family deserves a way forward. Wang Kaci Development Initiative is an indigenous, youth-led nonprofit helping young families in Lango, Uganda access practical skills, sustainable farming knowledge, and opportunities to stay in school.
Rooted in Dokolo District. Working towards a self-reliant Lango.
In Lango, Wang Kaci means a door, a gate, or an entrance to a homestead. It is a place of welcome, security and transition—a connection between home, the gardens, and the possibilities beyond.
We were formed in response to youth unemployment, unsustainable farming and low post-primary school completion. Our mission is to act as a gateway for young families through vocational skilling, climate-smart agriculture training and support for post-primary education.
A self-reliant community in Lango where young families have open doors to skills, food security and education.
Practical training and entrepreneurship help young people build pathways to livelihoods. Our focus includes carpentry, metal work, tailoring, small engineering and boda-boda safety.
Partner with us: support training, donate tools and safety equipment, or share business and technical expertise.
We promote climate-smart farming for smallholder farmers through practical training, demonstration gardens and post-harvest handling skills.
